GETTING STARTED
Overview
Official documentation for building applications that integrate with Ivy. On Kaia, open and verifiable.
Ivy is a social platform running on the Kaia blockchain that combines the web2 experience with web3 ownership. This documentation is for anyone who wants to build applications that integrate with Ivy.
#Who are these docs for?
- Developers who want to read Ivy data (identity, content, interactions)
- Applications that send transactions (like, tip, transfer, mint) on behalf of users
- Tools, dashboards and bots that analyse the Ivy economy
#The core idea
Ivy's core is on chain. Identity, usernames, channels, NFTs and every economic interaction are governed by smart contracts on Kaia. That is why integrating with Ivy requires no special API key: you read the public chain and send transactions with the user's wallet.
#At a glance
- Network: Kaia Mainnet, chainId
8217 - Contracts: non-upgradeable and ownerless V2
- Standards: ERC-721 (identity, username, channel, NFT), ERC-2981 (royalties)
- Currency: KAIA (native)
- Explorer: kaiascan.io
#What next?
- Quick Start: read your first data in five minutes.
- Contract Addresses: every deployed address.
- Integrating with viem: read and write examples.
